What Medium Should I Choose?
Illustrations can take many forms across many different mediua.
In your early career, experimentation with different media will help develop a style and gain some versatility that can be utilized on different jobs. However, once you have locked onto a style that you like and that has found some interest in the professional world, it is advised that you stick to that style or that medium in order to create a brand. Editors and publishers are looking for consistency. They will examine your portfolio to get a sense of who you are as an illustrator and what they can expect from your work. In these situations, it's best to deliver "more of the same." That's what got you in the door in the first place.
