Act three, a significant part of the screenplay in that this is the section of the script or the movie where all of the conflict comes to a head. The stakes are the highest they could possibly be with your protagonist standing to lose everything if they lose this final battle against the antagonist, this holds true against all genres from family kitchen sink dramas to rom-coms, to horror movies, to action, movies and beyond. the third act, therefore.
